Please I can't wait. Comeandget.us! This was today's briefing at the White House. While Gibbs is defending the Flip-Flopping President bells are ringing.

With yesterday's banning announcement and with Today's picture of the day with Prime Minister Gordon Brown standing in front of a Nazi Swastika you just have to scream please come and get us!
Gordon, you are not banned, but please look around before posing. This was evidently a children's schoolhouse that had just completed a class module on the Second World War. Fun.

I think it is great. There are people in life you like and then there are people you don't care so much for. Who one hangs around should be a personal choice. The United Kingdom today announced that there are certain people they would rather not see within their boarders (club house), and so announced a proclamation "from hence forth these people are banned". I like it. So in honor and total respect to our British friends, we - who sit at the center of the galaxy, have decided to make our own ban list. Ours is a list of people who are not invited to sit with us at the center.
Once a week we will announce a banning, a person so shrill or obnoxious that they are not invited to hang with us here at our observation post. Most likely, people who take themselves way too serious, unable to laugh at their own stupidity will find themselves on this list.
Without further adieu I present this week's banned person. This person is not allowed on the website or to follow us on twitter.
Yes, it's John Edwards - 2008 Presidential candidate and all around lie and cheat. A man so full of himself and with such little regard for other people including his wife that he would run and hide rather than stand and fight like a man. At the center we hate weak people and this guy is an all around twit. In the truth there is strength and this guy would not know the truth from a lie.
His wife is not a fav here either, she continues to lie for this guy, but at least she is out there facing the truth and the questions. (Elizabeth you can come, just don't bring loser). John Edwards, you sir are a twit and for all the right reasons you are hence forth banned from the center of the galaxy here at comeandget.us .

Don't know where the website is but it made me smile when I read it:
"When you care enough to hit send"
Or as I would add:
"When you care enough to hit send and add them to a mass mailing list"

Don't read this post if you are offended by the "F" word, you have been warned. Here at comeandget.us we are language neutral.
I wrote a tweet today where I used the acronym SNAFU. I hadn't used that term in years, it just popped from my mind through my fingers to the keyboard and landed all capitalized and proud in my tweet, SNAFU. I used it appropriately. I was having equipment failure and my post stated that "...my computer was SNAFU".
Now I know what SNAFU means and I even know its origin. What struck me after I saw the word in print was how timeless the word(?) is and how great it fits into today's abbreviated spelling. It is of pre-computer origin yet fits our current need of emoting without going over 120 characters.
For who do not what SNAFU means I will explain. SNAFU is of World War II origin. That would be my Grandparent's and Parent's generation. It means "Situation Normal All Fucked Up". Do not let your Grandparent's tell you otherwise. The "F" does not stand for "Fouled".
I am part of an age group that sits in the march-of-time between the SNAFU generation and the WTF generation. My kids think they are so smart for coming up with WTF and MILF and all their little keyboard shortcuts, but they don't even come close to their Great-grand parents.
SNAFU is so much better than WTF. First it is a word that can be pronounced, second it is an answer as opposed to a question, and third it is full of cynicism and sarcasm. Sooooo much better.
Here is some more creative keyboard emotiwords that you can borrow from dear old Great Grandaddy and GranMaMa:
ROTFL here at the center SSDD - CAGUS

I was going to write and create a graph of our President's deficit reduction plan of cutting 100 million dollars, but I was sent this video which pretty much speaks for itself. It a a great visualization of not just how small the reduction is, but also how large our federal budget is.
